What we hear is government workers make less since they are paid from a tax base, and people leave the public to go private because the pay is 'better'. Wisconsin, Texas, and other Republican led states who have been feeding private companies state business avoiding the state departments which do the same jobs at cheaper cost for as long as they have been in power.
The prison system and public education are two examples. These thugs in suits campaign on improving education by reducing costs at a time of increasing enrollment and required programs - special education, testing, bilingual, etc. Their funding to colleges and universities drops every year, even in good times forcing the middle class to pay higher tuition already supposed to be covered in property or other taxes.
Taxes collected by Republican governors are being diverted to their pet funds which have nothing to do with educating kids, providing health care, and regulating businesses from cheating the public. These funds are being used to subsidize their friends private business interests, their political campaigns, fat road building contracts, and reduced business taxes for business conglomerates which wield billions of dollars yet get huge tax breaks.
Your comments and contributions are appreciated, what do you think? Wisconsin is coming to a state near you thanks to every Republican governor who has more loyalty to his or her party than to the people supposedly being represented.
